Welcome to South Carolinians for Romney! I was born and raised right here in Columbia, SC and am excited to start this blog in support of a man whose core values align so well with those of so many in this great state.

I have been an avid political observer most of my life and remember how Mitt came out of political obscurity in the early 90s and gave Ted Kennedy a surprisingly strong challenge in Mass. for U.S. Senate. I lived in Utah in the years leading up to the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics and remember how Mitt won the respect of Utah and all of America with an impressive turnaround of a financially-plagued and scandal-ridden games. I was thrilled to see Mitt win an energetic campaign to become a Republican governor in the land of Kennedy and Kerry. More impressive still, in his few years as Governor he has shown how well the principles he perfected as a businessman and head of the Olympics translate into public service that is both innovative and effective. I've been avidly following news about Mr. Romney for nearly a year and was fortunate to meet him and his wife when they visited Greenville in February. He's the real deal. The deeper you dig into who this man is and what he has done, the more you see that he is perhaps one of the most qualified potential presidential candidates in recent memory.

I hope to update and post on this site at least weekly. In the coming days I'll be adding various helpful links and news pieces with a focus on the Palmetto State, of course. I look forward to hearing from you!
